Croatia, Montenegro & Bosnia June 2016

From the former Yugoslavia, come the Balkans: Croatia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Sarajevo, Serbia and Macedonia.

With 1000s of miles of seafront and lots of islands, Croatia’s coastline is Eastern Europe’s Riviera. But there’s history too: from Roman ruins and Byzantine mosaics to Venetian bell towers and communist concrete. Of course, there’s the Dalmatian Coast, with dramatic cliffs and multitudes of islands, but the stunning waterfalls of Plitvice and Krka National Parks and Zagreb, the nation’s engaging capital, deserve note as well.

It is photo essay, we only scratch the surface of Montenegro with images of the walled city of Kotor. We also get a glimpse of Bosnia and Herzegovina with images of the Stari Most, historic mosques and surrounding streets in Mostar.
