Death Valley National Park offers a vast desert landscape with myriad captivating photo opportunities.
Some of the more iconic sites include:
Zabriskie Point: Arriving for sunset, you can the badlands transform as the last light paints the eroded landscape in warm hues.
Mesquite Flat Dunes: Daybreak yields untrammeled, pristine dunes with beautiful patterns, and the interplay of light and shadow on the dunes creates endless compositional possibilities. As a designated Dark Sky Park, images of the Milky Way over the dunes are incredible.
Badwater Basin: At 282 feet below sea level, its surreal salt flat formations are a unique Death Valley feature. The hexagonal salt patterns make for compelling foreground elements, particularly after dark when the stars rise over the Panamint Mountains to the west.
Death Valley’s diverse landscapes offer endless creative possibilities for photographers.
