The Oregon Coast offers dramatic landscapes and serene beach scenes.
At the heart of Cannon Beach stands Haystack Rock, a towering monolith rising 235 feet from the shoreline. At sunrise, the rock casts long shadows on the sand, bathed in golden light. Sunset brings a dramatic palette of purples, pinks, and oranges, with the silhouette of Haystack Rock creating a striking focal point. At night, Haystack Rock becomes a silhouette against the vast number of stars that dot the sky.
The lush coastal vegetation and driftwood-strewn beaches of the Oregon coast provide ample photographic subjects. Ecola State Park, with its forested trails and sweeping ocean vistas, offers additional perspectives of the coastline, with panoramic views that stretch for miles. Finally, the wreck of the Peter Iredale is one of the most accessible shipwrecks of the Graveyard of the Pacific.
