Winter is possibly the most beautiful season to explore Yosemite National Park. With fewer visitors, the valley is a peaceful winter wonderland, a palette of fragile ice, frozen waterfalls and in February the spectacle of Horsetail Fall at sunset. With fewer crowds, wildlife comes out, frost coats the trees in the morning and snowstorms can blanket the valley in white.
